Californian-born, Samoan descendant J Boog went against the grain by pursuing his music career in Hawaii. But ever since his 2005 debut album "Hear Me Roar", Boog has risen through the ranks of Reggae to become one of the USA's most prominent Reggae artists! His second album, "Backyard Boogie" saw Boog hit the top of the US Reggae charts in 2011, paving the way for further successes.

Masterfully blending his Samoan heritage with the soulful sounds of American R&B and hip hop, Boog started out making music when he was just nine years old. His professional breakthrough was sparked by a chance encounter whilst on vacation in Hawaii. Here, he happened to meet his idol, island reggae legend George "Fiji" Veikoso, and handed him a mixtape. And the rest, well, you know.
